A toaster, blender, countertop microwave, coffee maker, and others will make a small space look even smaller. Those you use daily may be left on the countertop. Those you use occasionally should go in the cabinets.

When shopping for other appliances, go for those which are particularly designed for small kitchens. There are also those that combine two different appliances in one item. An example is an over the range microwave oven. Not only does it save space on the countertop, but it’s also a vent and oven in one. As with colors, go for whites, stainless steel or anything light-colored.

Having plain white walls is effective in making your kitchen appear larger. However, you may also use other light colors that you like. Wallpapers with heavy prints or patterns will make your kitchen appear even smaller. It’s because such wallpapers will make it look cluttered and cramped.

The cabinets and floors should also take on the same approach, regarding colors. The brighter your kitchen is, the bigger it will appear. That’s why you should also try to install plenty of lighting. You may install some under the overhead cabinets to give those unused spaces some function. Get rid of clutter by using twist ties or clips to tidy up appliance cords.

Make the most out of any available space. Install a hanging rack on the ceiling and hang your pans, pots, and other similar items. Now they need not take up so much space in the cabinets or shelves. Store in the high shelf above the ref your baking pans, serving plates and others which you don’t use frequently. Hang kitchen utensils on the walls by installing hooks.

When it comes to home improvement projects, it is important that you get the items or materials that you need, such as floor tiles or light fixtures, but you cannot complete a home improvement project without the right tools.  If you do have some home improvement experience, there is a good chance that you may already have most of the tools that you need.  If you need additional tools or if you don’t have any at all, you will need to purchase yourself some.The tools that you need will all depend on the remodeling that you are doing, that is why it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with project instructions, and the tools that are needed before you get started.  If you are purchasing your remodeling materials from a home improvement store, it may be a good idea to save yourself an extra trip and buy your tools at the same time.
