A Raleigh bathroom remodeling company like Borges Construction gives you the peace of mind you’ll get from working with someone that has been in the business for more than a ten years while also making it possible to reduce the surprise expenditures of working with someone less knowledgeable.
It may often be difficult to decide on a design and style for the bathroom when redesigning. Far more important than the aesthetic would be the layout.

A built-in spa or claw bath tub could be a key selling feature for a lot of possible purchasers. Perhaps you would like to enlarge your vanity to hold a double sink or maybe you’ll be able to add a full shower to a half bathroom.
You need to note that a full bathroom is going to bring considerably more cash back when it comes to value when compared to a half bathroom, even so you certainly don’t want to cramp the bathroom in order to squeeze in the steam shower you have always dreamed about. There exists a fine line to be walked among amenities and function.
If you’re interested in saving dollars during a bathroom remodel, there are always a number of options open to you. At least one of the very best methods to conserve money is to do the demo and preparation work on your own.
This really is no-skill stuff that anybody is able to do to help you save on paying labor charges to a contractor and his crew. You’ll be able to also ready the installation site and haul away any trash so that you aren’t having to pay skilled trades-people to get rid of garbage.
You could also get almost all bathroom fittings and hardware for considerably less cost if you hire a contractor and purchase your own materials rather than permitting the home goods store where you purchase your materials do the install.
Bathrooms and kitchens are two of the most suitable rooms in the house to remodel. If you are looking to sell your house, but you have a defunct bathroom, taking it the extra mile are going to pay off more often than not. If you’re planning to do a bathroom renovation in Raleigh do your research with care, choose an expert company which has a proven track record.
If you’re not selling your house, you can get a whole lot of use and happiness out of an up-to-date and modernized bathroom as well as decrease the potential for water damage coming from worn out plumbing or crumbling tile. Whichever your reason, upgrading your bathroom will very likely pay off big for you in the end.

why does it always has to be “tiles” when it comes to bathroom floor and sometimes even in kitchens?
Question by Unisol: why does it always has to be “tiles” when it comes to bathroom floor and sometimes even in kitchens?
not that i have anything against it but its just that for some reasons, i hate tiles. i dunno if it is considered a phobia but i just find it gross cause it always look dirty no matter how hard you clean it. those black and orange thing in between the gap spaces and stuff and sometimes there are these black spots or slight cracks in the tiles. it just looks so dirty.
i never put my feet in contact with a single tile and that is also why i hate swimming pool.. maybe its a phobia after all. am i the only one who thinks like this? no offending responses please.. and back to my quetion, why always tiles when they are hard to clean and always look dirty? why not just use marble or the flooring thats similar to bed room or living room? looks more pleasant and easier to clean?
looking forward for some serious answers! thanks a lot in advance.

Cost-effective Bathroom Upgrades
Bathroom upgrading has become a direction in the recent past. It’s right that different bathroom themes could very well present your bathroom a much better appearance but if it’s done in a wrong manner your bathroom could end up looking like a mess. It’s due to this that a bathroom remodeling project has to be a carefully thought out affair which usually needs lots of consideration.
Considering the costs involved in a bathroom remodeling project it would largely depend on the type of accessories and the general way you want the remodeling to be.A normal bathroom remodeling process without much of the fancy and expensive fittings would be within a price range of about $10000 – $18000. Use of expensive fixtures or extensive bathroom remodeling might cost close to thirty thousand. Generally as you can see, it is a rather expensive project.
Probably one of the tough questions you would have to face is whether to hire a contractor or not. A bathroom remodel is indeed not an uncomplicated challenge. Making a tiny space look both stylish and to make sure the bathroom is both safe and practical is not at all easy. If an individual lacks the instincts for color or design and has no practical understanding regarding bathroom remodeling it’s better to hire a contractor.
It’s nevertheless, likely to lighten your wallet. On the other hand horrible bathroom remodeling would be a waste of your money and worse could make your bathroom a dangerous spot where mishaps could easily occur lf you do hire a contractor be sure to check that the contractor is one who’s properly licensed.
It should also be remembered that the gravity of the project would mainly play a huge role in deciding whether or not you’ll need a contractor or otherwise. When regarding the permits factor you may need permits for a bathroom makeover. It is better to apply early to obtain the permits. For a person looking to cut down on the cost of a bathroom remodel it is advisable to try not to move the toilet if possible. Use tiles wisely as well astry and ask for discounts on fittings.
A bathroom remodeling project nicely planned and well executed would ensure you a bathroom with a pleasant appearance where you cancalm down in bliss after a challenging day, at the least practical cost.

Discover How To Renovate A Bath Room Within A Strict Budget
With regards to interior decorating there are few rooms which may have the impact of a bathroom when an individual redesigns. You will find something amazing regarding taking a out dated old bathroom and making it dazzling and gleaming all over again. A lot of people, nevertheless, cringe at the very thought of a bathroom remodeling fearing the absolute worst in terms of their finances once all has been said and done. Fortunately that small steps can result in large alterations in rooms as tiny as bath rooms. All these little steps don’t have to have big prices to become impressive.
My best recommendation with a bathroom would be to determine where the worst blemishes and eye-sores might be. Painting the actual walls can be a great place to start nevertheless, you should first determine whether you are likely to remove all cabinetry. This really is one room where it is best to save the actual painting for later within the project rather than the beginning. The actual vanity in lots of bathrooms takes up a large amount of area. Those days are gone when large cabinets were the favorite option for bathrooms. At this point individuals want their bathrooms to have the look of a wide-open room. Because of this cabinets as well as vanities are becoming more compact rather than bigger.
Most homeowners find that removing cumbersome cabinetry in the bathroom often results in some amount of patching necessary for the drywall and noticeable gaps in the floors. These kinds of gaps must be addressed pretty quickly, meaning now is a good time to select color options for the actual walls as well as flooring. Smaller bathrooms prosper with lighter colors on the walls in order to give them a bigger appearance. Make use of towels as well as decorations to usher in darker accents but keep your walls light and vibrant. Also select paint that can withstand the high humidity associated with bathrooms.
Flooring in a restroom also needs to have the ability to withstand high heat and humidity as this room is rather abusive to flooring and walls. For this reason, hardwood is not the ground of choice for most bathrooms. Porcelain tile is an excellent option and not awfully expensive. There are also some laminated flooring that are designed to react well to some high humidity environment such as is going to be found in your bathroom. Choose floors that will accent the walls and the overall sense of decor you are hoping to achieve whenever decorating your house and restroom, as this is not really something you will want to alter often.
The fact is, a toilet in a restroom is fairly simple to purchase but I recommend departing it be unless it absolutely needs to be transformed. This is not a simple procedure for the beginner and experts are expensive. In this case “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” is a superb motto to reside by. The same holds true with the shower. In the event that, however, you simply cannot live with your shower (or bathtub) as is, you may want to try employing professionals to come in as well as resurface your tub. This is a smaller amount expensive compared to purchasing a brand-new tub and will have yours searching bright, shiny, and as great as brand new. Again you can avoid the high cost of a local plumber despite the fact that you’re paying for professionals to resurface.
The truth is, you will be amazed at the main difference that brand new knobs, fixtures, and equipment can make inside a bathroom. Give a couple of lamps for subtle lighting plus some decorative touches of your own and you have a brand new restroom without spending a king’s ransom in order to do so. The shower curtain as well as ‘guest’ towels ought to be your largest splurges in your restroom, as they may tie the room all together. A person shower curtains and towels will mix the colors and fashions in order to produce the overall environment you should be hoping to achieve in your bathroom. And every one of this can be accomplished one step at a time regardless of how sparse your budget is.

Beautify your Bath with Gorgeous Bathroom Flooring Options
When you bought your home, did you like the bathroom floors? If you’re like most people, you possibly failed to think about them much while taking a look at the bigger image of the home itself. Once you moved in, though, and started trying to clean the floors, you may have begun to realize that they weren’t truly what you’d like them to be. Maybe they’re peeling vinyl, outdated tiles, or buckled hardwoods, and you worry about the moisture from the rest room leaking down into the subfloor. You know it is time to rework, but what are the finest choices for new bathroom floor materials?
Ceramic or porcelain tile is always a good choice. These surfaces are made to withstand use, resist moisture, and be a snap to wash. Tiles also come in hundreds of sizes, colours, and styles, so you may need to spend awhile trying to select the right ones. At the same time you select your tile, pick out the grout you want to use with it. By choosing a darker shade, for example brown or gray, it will be far easier to keep the grout looking nice than it would be with white or light-colored grout. If you’re attempting to find a pretty appearance, sturdiness, and simple maintenance, you just can’t beat ceramic floor tiles.
Another good choice for a bathroom is vinyl flooring. This type of material comes in either 6′ or 12′ widths, so you only need to buy the amount of you need. Vinyl is available in a wide selection of patterns, some of which are quite unique, and others which are built to look like hardwood, stone, or tile flooring. Maintenance is a breeze with a vinyl floor, and as long as it has been caulked well around the edges, it will be immune to water. Vinyl is a kid friendly flooring because it is softer and has a little more give, and if you buy a quality grade of it, it will not show wear for a few years.
Wooden floors in a bathroom is not highly counseled for obvious reasons. Nobody wants to pay for a costly wood floor only to have it buckle and warp due to the humidity in the room. Some people do advocate using bamboo or cork flooring in a loo, though, which will give you an amazing, natural look. You also might try laminate floors which has a hardwood veneer. Although this flooring material looks just like hardwoods, it is engineered to be more tough.
So many decisions and so troublesome to decide! Your new bathroom flooring will make a world of difference in your bathroom by adding color, class, and style.

Update Your Bathroom With New And Stylish Bathroom Cabinets
Remember the good old days when there was only one kind of bathroom cabinet? They were made for holding your small bathroom and medicinal items and not a whole lot else.
The usual location for this narrow, white enamel contraption was on the wall above the bathroom sink. It was generally mounted right over the bathroom sink, had a white enamel finish and a mirror on the front. They were useful all right, but they really had no other appeal to speak of.
Changes are Occurring
From these early days the look and use of a bathroom cabinet has changed dramatically. Now instead of a plain, drab addition to the most used room in the house suppliers offer consumers a line of bathroom storage fixtures that are practical, useful and very stylish.
No longer are you limited to a choice of one color, one style and one size. You can now find bathroom cabinets bathroom cabinets in materials which include wicker, plastic, bamboo, polished nickel and chrome. There are dozens of chic looks now available that will let you turn your bathroom storage area into the room’s decorative focal point.
Bathroom Vanity Cabinets
When you look for a bathroom cabinet today, you can find a variety of great styles from which to choose. Usually this term refers to what is now known as a bathroom vanity. This cabinet houses the bathroom sink and faucets. The vanity counter top can be made of many different materials including marble or tile. There are usually 2 or more doors in this cabinet that allow access to an under-sink storage area, and a large number of these bathroom cabinets will have pull out drawers included.
Most people will pair the floor cabinet with a matching lighted vanity cabinet fixture that hangs above the sink. This cabinet is either mounted flush with the wall or recessed into it and tends to be shallow, but can be as wide or tall as you like. The doors are generally mirrored and there will be shelving inside to store all of the items which often end up as clutter in the absence of a bathroom cabinet.
Size And Style Are Important
Bathroom cabinets are available in any size which you could possibly want, with some large enough to provide a place for linens and towels to be stored. Space is often at a premium in many bathrooms and homeowners are appreciative when they are able to find a versatile and stylish bath cabinet capable of increasing the amount of storage space in the room.
Bathroom Cabinet Styles: American and European
Generally speaking, bathroom cabinets may be either American style or European style.
American style cabinets are face-framed, meaning that the cabinet will not appear finished without a door or mirror as a closure. With a European style bath cabinet, the shelving is open and there are only minimal bits of trim noted along the shelving framework.
Choosing Your Bathroom Cabinets
When looking for your perfect bathroom cabinets there are stock, custom, and modular units to consider. With a stock cabinet item, the piece has been produced for the mass market and these will only come in set sizes and styles. These tend to be the least expensive, but you will be limited by a much smaller choice of styles and sizes.
Modular pieces have a wider selection of sizes and styles and can be combined with a number of other different pieces. However, if you want your bathroom cabinet to be truly your own, then a custom bathroom cabinet is the only way to go.
Custom bathroom cabinets are made to the specifications you choose and will be made from your choice of materials in the color, size and style you want.

How Durable is Cork Flooring Material in the Bathroom?
When it comes to replacing your bathroom floor, you may want to consider putting in a cork floor. Cork flooring is about as green as you can go. It is made of tree-like tropical grasses which replenish themselves inside a few years’ time. It is also a great flooring material because it is soft and warm to walk on with bare feet and as it is extremely immune to the moistness that’s an inherent part of any bathroom environment. This type of flooring repels moisture and keeps mold, mildew, and bacteria at bay, and cleaning cork floors is fast and easy. All-in-all, cork is an excellent choice for your bathroom floor.
Bear in mind that with cork, just like with any other kind of wood flooring material, your floor will be subject to contraction and expansion based on climate factors. It wi expand during the warmer summer months and contract during heating season. It does have a tendency to be a more stable product than other hardwoods, though. While most wood only contracts and expands across the grain, cork expands in all directions. If your floor is laid correctly, it’ll be ready to go with the flow of climate changes without an obvious difference in the way it appears to be.
Floating cork floors are not recommended for bathroom use. Floating suggests that rather than being nailed to the sub-floor, the boards are fixed to each other, and while this technique of cork flooring installation can give your floors a great look in other places in the house, the moisture and possible spillage in the bathroom makes it a poor choice. Cork floors are simple for you to lay without professional help. After you’ve installed the flooring, ensure you caulk around all of the outside edges. You do not need to leave any gaps where water can creep under your floor and cause damage to sub-floors or walls. Although the cork itself is impervious to moisture, these other materials aren’t.
Some experts will recommend that you not use any type of wood floors product in a bathroom because of possible water damage. Other people report they have had cork floors in their necessary rooms for a number of years with much success. Exotic flooring materials, for example cork and bamboo, have become very hip with householders thanks to the fact that they’re environmentally-friendly, look good, and can be less costly than other types of flooring. The choice is up to you.
